Yin Yoga For Spring Time at Essential Elements. Sunday 4/19. The Season for New Beginnings. 1:30-3:00.
This is a great time to mimic nature by shedding old layers so we can transition into a New Season. In Yin, this is the time of the Liver and Gall Bladder Meridians. We'll practice long held poses that target tissues, fascia, ligaments, and joints. (mainly along the side body and inner thighs.)
In Theory, when these energetic pathways are open and balanced; we sense a vision of our future, kindness, and a smoothness in life. When these pathways are blocked; we may experience frustration, rigidity, misdirected anger and a sense of being stuck.
Also included... ayurvedic spring detox activities and some healthy yummy treats. Cost $30 or 2 class passes
Slow Flow - Move and connect body and mind preparing yourself for the day. Modifications and adaptations will be available making this an All Levels class.
Yin/Restorative - Longer held poses to let the body release stress and reset back to health. Focus on breath work to go more deeply into the pose. Props may be used.
